まつかぜ or Matsu-kaze! The name means "Pine wind!" which I'll take as meaning 'wind in the pines'. It's across from the sea, so why not. Nice young couple, you'll maybe have to wing it in English :)
The address is
〒873-0643 大分県国東市国東町富来浦699−19
which is basically in Tomiku on the coast road, heading north from Kunisaki-machi (town centre) on the coast road, and within 6km. Look out for the elementary school, it's not far after that, left hand side, lots of parking.

These guys are new, open about a year at the time of writing. So the place looks very fresh with a lovely smell of freshly cut wood (of which the place is mostly made).
I tried the curry which was fantastic! Japanese style, but with a great little kick to it! The meals my wife and kids had were just as good.

There are more than a few locations that you will now find Moha in Kunisaki these days (and a few further afield). And you'll not miss his van, it is amazing! Some of those locations are listed at his web site
shop-location/ (days and locations are in English)
If you crave chilli, and you will in 'mild flavoured' Japan, these Kebab's are just the ticket. My children, wife and even Mother-in-law are all addicted. My MIL is Japanese and used to just crave western pizzas, but now there's a new favourite on the block!
Any questions, give them a ring, Moha speaks perfect Japanese, but if you speak to his wife, she speaks very good English too!
Mmmm, must buy Kebab :-)

In hiragana the name is ゆめさきちゃや!
OK, just try "Yu-me-sa-ki-cya-ya".
They have really fresh tasty food. It's a fruit and vegetables store too, and the produce is being sold in-house for all the small hold farmers in the area. That means there is a vegie store to your left, restaurant to your right, once you're in through those front doors.
I'm guessing if you've got this far, then you are the adventurous type, but you're still looking for a little help. How about some pictures. You'll really want to practice some 'Guide book Japanese' or, if you sit for lunch around noon, just point at the other diners and anything that looks tasty (yes, I mean the food).
I've jammed them close together so you can always use your smartphone to show them the meal you want to try.
I stole the images from tabelog so follow that link if you want bigger, tastier pictures :-)
You'll not be able to sit with me in おばあさん のうち (Grandma's house) but you'll get that same country experience right here. The setting is small children friendly, the ladies will be very accommodating and happy to see you eat well.
I've tried the curry, it's vegetarian, and very nice. The vegetables (especially Tempura) are just awesome, they really couldn't be any fresher.

What ゆめさきちゃや is to fresh vegetables, ぎんたちのさと (Gintachi no Sato) is to fresh fish!
This lovely fish
Gintachi no Sato is a pleasant restaurant with a warm clean setting that is pretty much 'eat out Japan', but in this diner the food is just excellent. My fish had all the rich warm qualities of うなぎ (eel) but with a lighter fresher feel. 10/10, I enjoyed it till the last mouthful.
